Од идеја до TikTok видеа: Млади креирају садржај за инклузивније друштво

One of the project activities focused on developing and creating TikTok content to promote social entrepreneurship, employment, and the inclusion of people with disabilities. Through four workshops held during May and June 2026, 30 young participants learned how to turn their ideas, experiences, and messages into short, engaging video content tailored to TikTok and other social media platforms.

The workshops brought together deaf and hard-of-hearing youth and youth without disabilities. This approach encouraged the exchange of experiences, fostered mutual understanding, and strengthened cooperation between the two groups. The workshops aimed to empower deaf and hard-of-hearing youth to present their skills, experiences, and interests, develop self-advocacy skills, and identify business and entrepreneurial opportunities. At the same time, youth without disabilities had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the experiences and needs of people with disabilities.

Throughout the workshops, participants gained practical skills in storytelling, filming, and editing short-form video content, as well as preparing content for publication on social media. Working together, they developed topics and ideas, shaped stories, filmed and edited the videos, and added subtitles. Some of the videos also feature Croatian Sign Language, further contributing to the accessibility and visibility of deaf and hard-of-hearing people in the digital space.

The workshops resulted in 12 original videos, each produced in both Croatian and English. The videos explore topics including social entrepreneurship, self-employment and employment of people with disabilities, experiences of entrepreneurship and working life, barriers and stereotypes in the labour market, and the importance of inclusive workplaces. Some of the content also offers practical advice on communicating with deaf and hard-of-hearing people and working with people with disabilities.

Through personal experiences and practical messages, the videos aim to make these topics more accessible to a wider audience, particularly young people, while promoting greater visibility of people with disabilities as employees, entrepreneurs, and active participants in the labour market. A central message throughout the content is that people with disabilities should not be defined by their disability, but recognised for their skills, knowledge, experience, and potential.

The videos were published on TikTok and additionally shared through Facebook and Instagram, as well as on the project website.
